Wondering
It's been a few weeks since my last post. So I've been thinking about what to write about in my newest post. And I couldn't quite figure out what I wanted to write about. There's just been so much happening that I just don't know where to start.
So instead of just choosing one topic, I'll just ramble on a bit about what's been happening and going through my mind.
To start with I'm gonna take off where I left things in my last post: the Iceland volcano stopping all flights in most of Europe. The drama has ended and all flights are back to normal again, or almost back to normal anyway. It seems the volcano still had some tricks up it's sleeve because once again the air space has been closed above Ireland and some parts of Wales. Experts say the Dutch airspace won't be affected this time around, but I sure am not holding my breath! I do however wonder what happened to all the airliners. Just after the airspace closure there was talk about billions lost and companies in financial trouble, but weeks later no signs are left of any financial troubles. It makes you wonder: Did all the airlines end up staying alive or do we, as a society, just have such short attention spans that we're already over it and it's no longer newsworthy.
Anyway, let's move on to the next topic: Kitchens.
When we bought our house 2 years ago we were very content that we were able to move in without having to do any painting, building or remodeling of any kind. After we've lived here for a while we are getting a bit fed up with our kitchen. It's perfectly ok, but being the spoiled people that we are, perfectly ok is not enough anymore. I find myself getting fed up with the lack of room we have to normally store our stuff. And the idea of building a kitchen that is fully made according to OUR wishes is such a nice thing to dream about. So we went to one of those big kitchen companies and shared our dreams. Turns out our dream kitchen will cost no less than 12,500 euros. Ouch! But don't fear, we got tips about other companies being much better and much cheaper (we like!) so we're gonna go window shopping soon and see what we can get for our money.
Well, I've still got lots more on my mind, but as this blogpost is now already quite sizable I will leave it as is and promise you I will be back soon with some more rambling.
