Spring is in the air

Today when I had to get up at 6.30 am and get on my bike to work my day didn't start off all that bright (I HATE getting up early). All of that changed once I stepped out the door. Because standing half asleep and waiting for the elevator my day suddenly became happy again.

The reason:

I knew this was the start of a beautiful day!!!

Unfortunately I had to spend all of it inside, but when I was riding my bike home the spring gave me an unsuspected surprise. My bike ride to work takes me all the way through the Westerpark. It's a great ride and I enjoy it a lot. Ofcourse it hasn't been very green since we hardly had any sun and nice weather yet. This morning was no exception. When I was on my way home however I got a really nice gift of nature. All the trees in this one area had suddenly blossomed during the day. So all of a sudden I got to enjoy these beautiful colorful trees with all these people chilling under them. What a great sight!!

It reminds me so much of the fact that summer is finally coming out. It also made me fantasize about the big plans for our balcony. Like getting awesomely comfy chairs and a kick-ass BBQ to throw our fabulous BBQ-parties with! And going to the garden centre and buying new plants to brighten up the balcony with.

I'm so excited!!!! (and so ready for summer...)
